Join us for an Autumn Day hike around a private Lake. We'll be learning how to draw from nature, keep a nature journal and answering some scientific questions. We'll have a scavenger hunt, journal craft, and hot cocoa!

Fall Art Hike Schedule… Oct 26th
9:30 ~ Meet-up at the Bear Mountain Library
10am ~ Intro to drawing from nature - Begin Hike around Lake – scavenger hunt, journaling along the way
11am ~ Walk back to tables for nature journal craft
11:30 ~ Picnic lunch together
12noon ~ wrap it up! Take our journals, and crafts home.
We will combine a scavenger hunt, with nature journal art lessons while answering these questions:
What is Hibernation – Torpor?
What is Migration? Where do the Birds go?
Which Plants go dormant? How?
Why Leaves change color?
What happens to fish during winter?
What happens to the frogs?
What happens to all the bugs?
We will search for signs of animals, food sources, and learn how to draw or paint what we find!
WEATHER: Chilly in the morning, warmer by noon.
